WELCOME TO MAGMA 09!
The Magma Short Film Festival 2009 is a three day festival to be held in Rotorua, New Zealand, May 01-03 at the revamped Shambles Theatre. The festival will screen films and run workshops. Magma has the support of some amazing film industry professionals who come each year to share their experiences with the audience and the attending film makers. Come along and get to meet some of them!
 
The festival is open to all filmmakers from New Zealand and the rest of the world. There is no restriction on age of the filmmaker or on the age of the film.

MAGMA 2007 AWARDS
Congratulations to:

Mark Albiston, director of "Run" the overall winner of Magma 2007.
Thanks to Park Road Post, he wins $2000 of post production studio time.
 
Campbell Cooley, writer and director of "Mrs Bracewell’s Woodlyn Park Adventure"
His film won runner up by audience vote.
